Martin King's Sports Betting: Arsenal won't make same mistake again
Published Date:

As I've already learned this season, Arsenal are a dangerous side to bet against after having a bad result.
The Gunners may have lost again last weekend, but they won't make the same mistake tomorrow.
Plenty of punters will no doubt be piling on a Manchester City victory at Eastlands (2/1), but I'm going for an Arsenal win at 6/5 (bet365).
City are an unpredictable side themselves, but they play in a way that suits Arsenal and if they decide to go like-for-like, there's only going to be one winner.
Elsewhere, Wolves helped me net a tidy profit (and an extra birthday present) last Saturday after winning at Southampton.
I'm sticking with the Southampton theme this weekend and expect them to lose by more than one goal at Reading tomorrow.
Reading have been scoring goals for fun at home this season (an amazing 24 in eight), winning seven and drawing one.
A straight Reading win is 2/5, while a Reading win despite -1 goal handicap is 6/5.
Can Cobblers win it?
Northampton Town desperately need a win at Hereford to avoid slipping into relegation trouble, but I'm expecting this one to end in a stalemate (12/5, Betchronicle)
Both sides were dumped out of the FA Cup in the week and either team would just be happy to avoid another defeat tomorrow.
Although Hereford are struggling in the league, their home record is enough to suggest they'll nick a point.
Saints as big as 20/1 for drop
Northampton Saints are still as big as 20/1 for relegation and an instant return to National League One.
Both Sky Bet and Sportingbet are expecting Jim Mallinder's side to steer clear of the drop, making Bristol their odds-on favourites (5/6).
Newcastle are even money, followed by Saints and then Worcester at 33/1.
Bet of the week
Red-hot Reading to beat Southampton despite a -1 handicap (6/5, Centrebet).
