Long-awaited repair works to busted bridge in Northamptonshire will not start on Monday
Repairs to a bridge on the A5199 between the villages of Spratton and Chapel Brampton will not start on Monday, October 31, as previously planned.
The bridge was damaged by a vehicle earlier this year, which meant that a temporary safety barrier needed to be installed.

Hide AdAs the barrier reduced the width of the available carriageway, for safety reasons, the road has been under two-way traffic lights ever since.
The repair works were due to start on Monday and last for a month, during which a full road closure would have been in place.
The project will see the re-building of a 15metre-long section of the parapet wall and two sections of the bridge spandrel wall.
A further update will be sent out once a new start date for the scheme on Spratton Sands Bridge has been confirmed, though the county council is yet to reveal why the works have been delayed.
