One of the main entrances at Northampton General Hospital is cordoned off.
The eye casualty entrance off Cheyne Walk has been taped off by police and remains cordoned today (Monday April 24).
Police officers are standing guard at the entrance and a police vehicle is also at the scene.
Northamptonshire Police has been contacted for comment.
