Harpole Scarecrow Festival lays down challenge to photographers ahead of weekend festival
A spokeswoman for the organiser said: “The Harpole Scarecrow Festival has now been running for 18 years and is better than ever. The 18th festival runs this weekend, Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13 and will include a photograph competition.
“Harpole village are asking for visitors to photograph their favourite scarecrow and scenes from the festival weekend and submit them to the festivals Facebook page. The photographs will be judged after the weekend and there will be a prize for the winner.

Hide Ad“This is a fantastic village event which caters for all ages with plenty going on, attracting people from outside the county as well as locals who visit each year.
“This year, visitors will find a ‘scarecrow trail’ competition themed around Harpole village heritage (useful for keeping older children entertained all day), open top bus rides, musical and dance entertainment, lots of food vendors and stalls selling handmade products,” she added.
Entry is £2 adults (children are free), with two dedicated car parks. It is open on both days from 11am to 4pm.
