Vandal, 46, jailed after smashing glass door at Northampton bookies

A serial vandal has been jailed for smashing the glass door at a Northampton bookies — just three days after getting a community order for criminal damage.
Magistrates sent Thomas Gaffney, 46, down for eight weeks after he admitted criminal damage to the door at a Betfred bookies in the town on March 20 and added a further six weeks for failing to comply with the terms of a community order at a hearing last week.

Hide AdGaffney, of no fixed abode, also had a history of previous offending, including a conviction for smashing a window at Kettering Job Centre on March 17.
He was also ordered to pay £250 compensation to Betfred.
