Officers from the Northampton Neighbourhood Police Team today (April 7) surrounded the equipment off Billing Brook Road with blue and white police tape in an attempt to stop people using it.

While the country is in lockdown in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, people are allowed to go out for a once-a-day exercise, however this does not included using public equipment as it could risk transferring the virus.
The police team responsible for taping off the equipment, took to Twitter to share pictures and remind people to stay at home.
The police team's tweet says: "#C7072 & #C7125 Responding to concerns raised by the local residents regarding the use of the outside gym Equipment, next to Swanhaven lake, off the Billing Brook Road. #covid19UK #StayAtHomeSaveLives #protecttheNHS."
