Results at Weston Favell School for A-levels improved for the third year in a row, reaching the national average pass rate of 97 per cent.
The Northampton school, which had a pass rate of 86 per cent just three years ago, saw improvements in social sciences, and French and German.
Dr Tracey Jones, headteacher, said: "I was expecting it to be a positive day and it has been.
"The pleasing thing to me is it's the third year running it's gone up."
